This is a swift and bloodthirsty predator from the mustelid family. It’s famous for its winter “attire” – a dazzlingly white coat with a black tip on its tail, which, for centuries, was a symbol of royal power in Europe. It inhabits all of Russia – from forests and tundra to the outskirts of villages.
