Ш – Шухов Владимир

A pioneering engineer and architect, Vladimir Shukhov (1853-1939) invented the world's first hyperboloid structures (using a lattice of straight beams to create enduring curved shapes). He used it in iconic constructions like the Shukhov Tower in Moscow – now considered a masterpiece of avant-garde architecture. He also revolutionized oil refining, pipeline construction and designed vast glass ceilings for train stations and markets.
