A fluffy mischief-maker that charms residents of the Far East.

In Chukotka and Kamchatka, long-tailed ground squirrels are called ‘yevrazhka’. This animal can stand on its hind legs and emit a piercing whistle to warn its neighbors of danger. The ‘yevrazhka’ is jokingly also called a bandit, because it will lie in ambush, waiting for… a person to beg for food!
