There are popular Russian names that you pronounce completely WRONG!
- Ivan – it’s not Айван guys, it’s Иван!
- Irina is not Айрина, but Ирина!
- Boris – it’s БорИС, not БОрис!
- I am sure you know Peter the Great. And it’s Пётр, not Питер or Petr!
- Vladimir is never shortened to Vlad! Better say Volodya or Vova.
- Михаил, not Micha-yel.
- Андрей, not Andrew.
- Алексей and not Alexi.
