The brambling or ‘yurok’ is a songbird the size of a sparrow. In summer, the male sports a black head and back with a brick-red breast, while, in winter, its plumage becomes more modest and brownish. Bramblings inhabit the forests of Eurasia and, in fall, they migrate to India and Japan for the winter.
