NOTE!

1) To form the present tense of second conjugation verbs, we need to remove three final letters (-ить or -еть) from infinitive and add the appropriate present tense ending.

2) When adding endings to verbs, keep in mind a spelling rule, i.e. after  к, г, х, ч, ж, ш, щ, ц  write -у and -а instead of -ю and -я (я учу, они учат).

3) Some verbs like ‘учить’ and ‘смотреть’ have a shifting stress in the present tense. The stress falls on the ending in the infinitive and in the first person singular (учи́ть, я учу́). And, in all other forms, the stress is shifted to the beginning (ты у́чишь, он/она у́чит, мы у́чим, вы у́чите, они у́чат).
