Я из + Genitive case

Here are some examples:

1. А: Откуда вы?
   В: Я из Англии.
   
   А: Where are you from?
   B: I’m from England.
   
   
2. А: Откуда ты?
   В: Я из Китая.
   
   А: Where are you from?
   B: I’m from China.
