Listen to the audio & repeat the verbs & collocations
вставать to get up |
идти to go, to walk |
идти в душ to go to the shower |
идти на работу to go to work |
идти домой to go home |
идти спать to go to bed |
NOTE!
1) “Идти в душ” means “to go to the shower”. If you want to say “to take a shower”, use the collocation “принимать душ”
2) The verb ‘cпать’ means ‘to sleep’. We’ll learn its conjugation in future lessons.
Listen to the audio & repeat the present tense forms of the verbs
идти | вставать | |
я | иду | встаю |
ты | идёшь | встаёшь |
он, она | идёт | встаёт |
мы | идём | встаём |
вы | идёте | встаёте |
они | идут | встают |
NOTE!
1) Verbs ‘вставать’ (‘to wake up’) and ‘идти’ (‘to go’) belong to Group 1. But, they have conjugation patterns that differ from ‘работать’ and other verbs we’ve learnt earlier.
2) When you make the present forms of the verbs with the suffix ‘-ва-’, like ‘вставать’, you need to drop this suffix and add the endings.
