NOTE!

1) In all numbers, letter ‘д’ is not pronounced in the compound ‘дц’ 

2) The letter ‘т’ in the middle of ‘пятьдесят’ and ‘шестьдесять’ is also not pronounced

3) Vowels ‘о’, ‘е’ and ‘я’ in unstressed positions change their pronunciation (find a detailed explanation in ‘Alphabet & Phonetics’)

Compound numbers are formed the same way as in English (just put the numbers in sequence). For example:

21 = 20 + 1 = двадцать один

46 = сорок шесть

53 = пятьдесят три
