How a Frenchman became a farmer in Russia (VIDEO)
Nicolas Boisset was born in the French city of Grenoble, but from an early age he felt a connection with Russia. Even in his youth, as a student, he came to the North Caucasus almost every summer, where his distant relatives lived. These trips left a deep mark on his heart: he fell in love with the Russian countryside and the breadth its soul. However, Nicolas still remembers the first impression of his trip to the Soviet Union — he was overcome with disappointment and tears of sadness.
Interestingly, his family's history is closely intertwined with Russian history: his grandfather emigrated from Russia to France during the 1917 revolution. Almost a century later, his grandson Nicolas returned to his ancestral land of Russia.
Near Kolomna, in the Moscow region, Nicolas took up agriculture. Today, tender asparagus, juicy broccoli and plump cauliflower grow in his fields. Nicolas's products are supplied to the best Moscow restaurants and grocery stores, where quality and freshness are appreciated. At the same time, the farmer himself modestly calls his business a 'hobby', in which he has invested not only time and effort, but also his whole soul.
