Have you ever heard of Yoshkar-Ola, the capital of Russia’s Mari El Republic? It has something to surprise you! In the early 2010s, the city center was reconstructed and filled with replicas of Europe’s main landmarks and sights. Thus, the city got its own ‘Bruges embankment’ with buildings in the Flemish style.
