This is what Russia’s first SPA train looks like (PHOTOS)
Just imagine: the rhythmic, steady clatter of the train wheels, stunning northern landscapes passing by the window and authentic spa treatments at your disposal.
This isn't a movie – it’s exactly what a trip on the tourist train from Moscow to Karelia will be like.
The spa carriage, decorated in a light color palette, features an infrared sauna, hot-water showers and a comfortable lounge area for relaxing after your sauna session. And if you work up an appetite, food can be delivered from the dining car.
The sauna operates both while the train is moving and during stops. A 90-minute session costs 2,700 rubles (approx. $35); this price includes a bathrobe, a sheet, towels and slippers.
For now, this is just a trial: the spa train will run until the end of October 2026. If passengers enjoy the experience, the service will become a permanent feature.
