This is one of the most beautiful regions of Russia. It has hundreds of volcanoes and a huge number of bears live there. Here are three of the main symbols of Kamchatka.

1. ДОЛИНА ГЕЙЗЕРОВ (Valley of Geysers)

An amazing valley with dozens of gushing geysers, thermal springs and hot rivers that flow along multi-colored slopes is located on the territory of the Kronotsky Nature Reserve in the very center of Kamchatka Krai. The soil temperature near the geysers can reach up to 70 degrees Celsius. You can only get to the valley by helicopter, however.

2. КЛЮЧЕВСКАЯ СОПКА (Klyuchevskaya Sopka)

The 4,754-meter Klyuchevskaya Sopka is the highest active volcano in all of Eurasia! It is about 7,000 years old. The first documented eruption dates back to 1737 and the most recent one to date was in 2023. Then, the ash emission disrupted air traffic not only in Russia, but also in the U.S., Canada, Japan and South Korea.

3. КАМЧАТСКИЙ КРАБ (Kamchatka crab)

This is one of the largest crabs in the Far East. The weight of this giant can reach up to 7 kilograms and the span of its claws is up to 1.5 meters! Its tender and sweetish meat is a real delicacy, but the price is appropriate!
