П – Пушкин Александр

Alexander Pushkin (1799-1837) is the foundational figure of Russian literature, who helped develop the modern language. He forged a brilliant style that blended everyday speech with classical elegance. His novel in verse ‘Eugene Onegin’, the drama ‘Boris Godunov’, as well as the fairy tale poem ‘Ruslan and Ludmila’ remain understandable to all generations. Tragically, his life was cut short at 37 in a dramatic duel.
