1. КУРОРТ ‘БЕЛОКУРИХА’ (Belokurikha Resort)

This unique resort in the picturesque foothills of Altai is often dubbed the "Siberian Switzerland". It’s renowned for its thermal springs and pristine air, saturated with light aeroions (negatively charged ions). These act on the human body like vitamins, improving blood composition, boosting appetite and normalizing blood pressure.

2. МИХАИЛ КАЛАШНИКОВ (Mikhail Kalashnikov)

This outstanding Soviet inventor of small arms was born on November 10, 1919, in the village of Kurya in the Altai Governorate, which is now a ‘Krai’ (aka Region). Kalashnikov was the seventeenth child in a family of nineteen! Today, a museum dedicated to him operates in the village.

3. АЛТАЙСКИЙ МЕД (Altai Honey)

This honey is harvested from a vast array of plants growing in the mountains and meadows of Altai Krai. The region is considered one of the most ecologically safe in the country, so Altai honey is super rich in vitamins, amino acids and enzymes and is considered one of the healthiest among Russian varieties.
