NOTE!
1. Cardinal numbers ‘один’ and ‘два’ change their forms, depending on the gender of the noun they quantify. Compare:
- Masculine – один рубль, два рубля
- Feminine – одна тысяча, две тысячи
2. Most often Russians just say "тысяча" (“a thousand”), but they can also say "одна тысяча" (“one thousand”), if they want to emphasize it.
3. The rule for 2,3,4 and 5-20 in Genitive was learnt in Unit 13.
