Time expressions like ‘next month’, ‘last year’ or ‘this week’ have the following structure:

В/НА + [этот/прошлый/следующий + time period in Prepositional case]

NOTE!

• ‘В’ is used for larger periods (years, months), ‘на’ – for weeks.
• The adjective (этот, следующий, прошлый) agrees with the noun in gender, number, and case.
