LESSON 8: DATIVE CASE (REVISION)

Let’s review when to use Dative case in Russian: 

1) To tell the age (Unit 9): 

Ему 5 лет.
He is five years old.

2) To express the physical or emotional state of a person (Unit 16):

Вам холодно?
Are you cold?

3) To express that you like or dislike something (Unit 14):

Мне нравится играть на гитаре.
I like playing guitar.

4) To say that you need something (Unit 13):

Мне нужен новый компьютер.
I need a new computer.

5)  To speak about indirect objects (Unit 19): 

Она написала сообщение другу. 
She wrote a message to her friend.

6) To say that you are going to visit someone (Unit 20):

Мы идём к друзьям.
We are going to our friends.
